Wanderlust on a Wednesday

I do not think I have felt the need to get away so strongly

in well…ever. Engulfed by so many things but not yet overwhelmed.

Truly in limbo, the worst of it. I will not go into that.

Thankfully my trip to Las Vegas is in exactly one month and I will

be able to have exactly the kind of escape that I need.

On a more serious note however, this weekend is Boston Fashion Week.

Though I have fantastic seats and have been looking forward to it,

my heart does not mimic that feeling. Into hiding I may go.

So this weekend… we will see.

During times like this I turn to fashion, natural beauty, travel photography

and the most luxe of materials/products to transport me elsewhere.

Is it abnormal that a bit of bright pink, sprinkles and buttercream

make me smile on the inside?

I do not think it is wrong to be entertained by pretty things, vivid colors.

Supple leather, a well-crafted heel, captivating fragrance.

Time to cheer up. We have a lot of work to do kitty.

Sometimes, there's nothing better than giving yourself something to look forward to, small rewards for your hard work. I've had to start doing that to get myself "over the hump" sometimes when I'm feeling particularly overwhelmed.

I always do that! I get excited about stuff, but then talk myself into staying home. Yay for Vegas!
