Last weekend I attended the wedding of a friend and coworker.
The ceremony was at Boston’s historic St. Cecelia’s and reception, at the
grand Boston Harbor Hotel’s Wharf Room.
After it monsooned all Friday and sprinkled most of Saturday morning, the
clouds parted and the happy couple were granted a beautiful summer day.
A miracle after there was an 80% change of rain that day.
Both (ceremony and reception) were equally opulent yet tasteful – full of meaning.
I loved that the bridal party arrived and left in a white trolley!
The cocktail was outdoors, set beside Boston’s scenic Rowe’s Wharf, guests
serenaded by a fantastic band with an island feel! Yachts a plenty.
The bride dancing with her Grandfather. I basically bawled like the
lady in the black dress also.
A Hungarian tradition, people put a dollar in the bag to dance with the bride.
Look a the detail on her gorgeous gown!
My coworkers taking their turn dancing with Jacqueline – it was the best!
Later, Jacqueline told me a neighbor came up to her and told her that she was
“saving” her from this tradition because she didn’t think she was enjoying it.
Oh she was!
Last but certainly not least!
What a beautiful wedding. The flowers, the venue, food. Everything!
Jacqueline was the most gracious bride, thanking her parents over and over for
the wedding of her dreams. It truly was a day I am so happy I was included in!
Happy Wednesday!
