Being a strong believer in things happening for a reason, I was grateful to be included in a recent event held at Brasserie Jo to raise awareness for both Hearth Shares & Friends of Boston’s Homeless.
With an aim to provide comfort and hope to those living on the streets of Boston, Hearth Shares allows diners to donate as little or as much as they like at the conclusion of their meal at participating restaurants between November 20th and December 25th.
With 100% of the proceeds being distributed to local homeless charities, it is a way to give back and know exactly where your contribution will go.
Modeled after London’s successful StreetSmart program, Hearth Shares and Friends of Boston’s Homeless (focusing on the elderly homeless) are working to end homelessness for good by providing housing.
With local Chef’s like Ming Tsai of Blue Dragon/Ginger on board, this holiday season we can dine for a cause at Ostra, Mistral, the Buttery, Gaslight, Mooo, Aquitaine and more.
Wondering where else to eat while in Boston?
Other recent eats; a lovely dinner at Serafina (this prosciutto starter was too delicious for its own good!)
A light caprese followed by the Ravioli al Tartufo Nero (housemade black truffle ravioli with a touch of butter)
Concluding with the sinful Focaccia di Nutella.
The Langham’s BOND will be hosting a monthly BOND200 dinner with all ingredients sourced within 200 miles.
Baked Gala apple and spiced walnut cake, candy cap mushroom ice cream, rum caramel, dried pomegranate and cape gooseberries (paired with a Brahman’s Sidecar.
Where have you eaten lately?
